Caleb J. Smith enlisted in the United States Marines after Sept. 11th, 2001 following the largest terror attack in U.S. history. He completed Video Documentation and Photography at Defense Information School as an honor graduate after basic and infantry training. Caleb went on to shoot video for a military news station, LCTV-10, provided coverage of formal and informal events on Camp Lejeune, trained with and recorded marine infantry battalions and special operations units, documented full six to nine month tours in Iraq, and worked with Marine Special Forces in combat zones for intelligence and historical purposes. After an honorable discharge from the Marine Corps, Caleb studied film and photography at Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri. While in school he directed student and short films, worked as a Director of Photography on local independent and student projects, shot footage and reported news for the campus news broadcasting station, produced and filmed documentaries, was a member of the Missouri Film Alliance of Springfield, completed full feature and short film screenplays, and networked with local talent and talent agencies. Caleb has been working as a Photojournalist for KMBC 9 News in Kansas City for the past three years. He's had footage on National Networks as well, such as ABC's Good Morning America, CNN, and combat footage on FOX News. Caleb is also a recent NPPA Workshop graduate.
